INDIE FILM EXPLORES RELIGIOUS CENSORSHIP
HEART OF THE BEHOLDER, a grassroots film about religious censorship, will
premiere at The Screening Room on the weekend of November 4 -5.
Based on the true story, HEART OF THE BEHOLDER tells the story of a young couple
who opened the first video store in the St. Louis area. Everything was fine
until they added Martin Scorsese’s controversial film, The Last Temptation of
Christ to their collection. When they dared to stand up to a group of religious
zealots and a corrupt prosecutor, they lost their multi-million dollar chain of
video stores, their family, and almost their lives. But they were able to get
something the powerless seldom do - revenge!
HEART OF THE BEHOLDER will screen on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5
at 8:00pm. The Screening Room is located downtown at 127 East Congress,
admission is $5.
