Ex con John Mercy yearns for a new start in idyllic Montana, but first must complete his parole. The transition from prison life is not easy, with an unsympathetic parole officer determined to send him back and a dirty, monotonous job making his daily routine much the same as prison. But as John begins to settle into his new life on the outside, a mysterious woman begins to follow him and find her way into his dreams, creating nightmares with devastating consequences. After the first nightmare, John wakes missing a tooth, disrupting his life and leading him down a destructive path that threatens his parole, sanity and dream for a new start. Written and directed by Patrick Roddy, producer-in-residence at the University of Arizona Department of Media Arts.
